About me
My name is Antun Bubnjar
I completed my Master’s degree at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. I graduated with first class honours from the Department of Mathematics and Science. With a degree in Mathematics and Physics, along with a Qualified Teacher Status, I bring over two decades of teaching experience in public schools across the UK, Croatia and Australia.
Specialising in Mathematics at KS3 - KS5 levels, including Further Maths, and Physics at KS3 - KS5 levels, I also delve into Mechanics, which lies at the intersection of Maths and Physics.
Currently at Sutton High School in London, I've previously taught at Calthorpe Park School in Fleet, Hampshire, and Bentley Wood High School in London.
I am extremely proud of my Nonsuch students’ achievements last summer: 44% of my GCSE students got Grade 9, and almost everybody else Grade 8, while 54% of my A-level Further Maths students achieved A* and most of them secured a place at Oxbridge or top London universities.
I have a wealth of experience of one-to-one teaching as a tutor. Throughout my career, I have tutored pupils aged 10 – 18 with outstanding results. As a tutor, I design my lesson plans according to pupils’ specific needs and ambitions, identifying gaps and tailoring my teaching techniques to their personalities. I take pride in having 5.0-star rating on two specialised tutoring websites, Tutor Hunt and Accelerate Tutors, and many students are referred by my colleagues, friends, and former students.
